Frequently Asked Questions

    • GRABiD Logistics is an online logistics marketplace that allows carriers and senders to offer deliveries to others (as brokers) as well as bid for deliveries offered by others using intelligent segmentation and real-time matching. senders lower their costs and carriers boost their bottom line.

    • Yes GRABiD Logistics is 100% free to join as both carrier and sender. You can download the free app from the Apple store or the Google Playstore and register for free today.

    • Carriers and Senders can choose to use the website (www.grabid.com.au) or the iOS or Android app to create a delivery and accept one. Once a Carrier is out on the road the app is a more convenient way to confirm delivery pick-up and drop-off and sign for proof of delivery and receipt - although this can all be done on the website too.

    • There are four main item categories - freight, appliances, vehicles and livestock. A Carrier will be matched with a delivery if the vehicle/s he has registered on the system matched the delivery item type.

    • There are two main types of deliveries – Auctions and Take Now.

An Auction delivery means the Sender sets the Maximum Opening Bid he is willing to pay for that delivery and Carriers enter bids equal to or below that opening bid. Once the Auction ends the Sender chooses which carrier will be awarded the delivery based on a few factors including their bid offer and their carrier rating. In the case of the Auction the Sender chooses who delivers the delivery not the price of it.

A Take Now delivery means a Sender enters a fixed price for a delivery and a Carrier that accepts that fixed price will be awarded that delivery. The Sender chooses the price of the delivery not who delivers it.

    • A Carrier creates his profile by entering information such as what vehicles he drives and where he is situated so that the best load matching can occur. When a delivery is created, the Sender enters details that will be used to categorise the delivery – to ensure only Carriers who match that profile and are in the appropriate geolocation are notified of the delivery.

    • Each GRABiD user has his own unique code to invite friends and colleagues to use the app. Once a user signs up using your unique referral code, you will be rewarded with Cashback bonuses for as long as the user you referred participates in GRABiD. Please note that you are expected to participate actively in GRABiD in order to be eligible for the Cashbacks. These Cashback bonuses can be found in your app Wallet and can be cashed out directly to your bank account or be used to pay for deliveries you offer to others.

    • As a Carrier when a new delivery is created that suits their profile, the Carrierr will be notified that it is currently available on the app using in-app notifications. As a Sender when a delivery is picked up or completed, they will be notified that the delivery status has changed using in-app notifications. So notifications must be turned on in the app.

    • When a Sender creates a delivery, he enters all the item details including if there are any special requirements - eg: if induction is needed, any lifting equipment that might be required as well when the delivery needs to be made. He then selects whether the delivery type is an “Auction” or a “Take now”. The Sender can also choose if to offer the delivery to Favourites only, Favourites and then All Carriers or All Carriers.

Once the delivery has been created, Carriers whose profile match that delivery will be notified that a new delivery matching their preferences and location has been added to the system. They will then be able to either bid if the delivery type is auction or choose to accept the Take now offer. Once the delivery has been awarded to a Carrier the full delivery details including Sender details are displayed to the Carrier.

    • After the Carrier had been awarded a delivery and it has been accepted, he will arrive at the pick-up location at the right time and confirm pick up of the delivery. The Carrier is able to scan the barcodes on the delivery items and the pick up person then signs in-app that the delivery has been picked up. The Sender then gets notified that the delivery is in-transit and can then see the delivery route that the Carrier is taking. When the Carrier reaches his drop-off location, the Carrier confirms drop off and can once again scan the barcodes to show all the delivery items have been dropped off. The receiver then signs in-app that he has accepted the delivery and the carrier can upload the POD documents to the delivery details. The Sender then gets notification that the delivery is complete. Both the Sender and Carrier can then rate their respective partners.
